What We'll Do

Step 1
For this step you'll need:
Add your greek yogurt and homemade peanut butter. You can also use store-bought peanut butter but make sure it's low in sugar and it doesn't contain any Xylitol in it as that can be harmful to dogs. The greek yogurt needs to be non-flavored and as low in sugar as possible. Also, for the images in this recipe, I doubled the amount because my puppy absolutely LOVES these treats.
-
Step 2
For this step you'll need:
- Mixer (optional)
- Your Spatula :-)
Mix these 2 ingredients together until smooth. You might need to scrape the sides with a spatula in between mixing to make sure it all mixes together evenly.
-
Step 3
For this step you'll need:
- Dog Theme Silicone Molds
- Your Spatula :-)
Grab your silicone dog ice cube trays. I got mine off Amazon but anywhere you get them will be fine. There are hundreds of cute designs to choose from.
-
Step 4
For this step you'll need:
- Dog Theme Silicone Molds
- Your Spatula :-)
Using a spatula, fill the ice cube trays as best as you can. The PB Yogurt mix is a pretty thick, so covering the trays completely until the spaces are entirely filled is alright.
-
Step 5
For this step you'll need:
- A Steady Hand
After all spaces have been filled up, turn your spatula on its side and wipe off the excess PB Yogurt until the top of the trays is clean-ish. Remember, you don't have to be perfect. :-) You can put the excess mix back into the bowl or into the next ice cube tray.
-
Step 6
For this step you'll need:
Here's what the trays will look like before going into the freezer. (Double the amount makes almost 3 silicone trays full.)
-
Step 7
For this step you'll need:
- Your Freezer :-)
Place the ice cube trays in your freezer (ice box) for at least one hour before serving. I like to space them out for quicker freezing but stacking them on top of each other is fine.
-
Step 8
For this step you'll need:
- Your Hands :-)
After about 2 hours, you can remove the trays from the freezer and pop out the frozen treats. What I like about silicone trays is that they allow you to pop out your treats without any hassle. Also, they clean very easily, too.

The Best Part!
For this step you'll need:
- Your Cute Pup :-)
Your puppy will love you even more when you give them these treats. What I like about this recipe is that the greek yogurt and peanut butter do freeze but they are not super hard like ice cubes are. So your pup won't chip their tooth on these. This is such a perfect way for your pooch to cool off on a hot, summer's day.
