Vanillekipferl Cookies
Description
This recipe hails all the way from Germany! A delicious, nutty, melt in your mouth cookie that is a perfect Christmas addition to your dessert table. Recipe makes about 64 cookies.

Place hazelnuts into a food processor and finely chop them up. Set aside for now.

In your main mixing bowl, add sugar and butter and mix.

Separate out the egg yolks from the egg whites and add only the egg yolks to your main mixing bowl.

Add 2 packets of Dr. Oetker vanilla sugar and mix.

Add finely chopped hazelnuts to main mixing bowl and mix.

Add flour into your main mixing bowl and mix in slowly.

Place dough on a sheet of parchment paper with tinfoil underneath it. Wrap dough and place in the fridge to rest for 1 hour.

After an hour, preheat oven to 350˚F (175˚C).

Lay a sheet of parchment on your baking tray. Make walnut size balls of cookie dough with your hands. Then roll it into a cylinder shape and bring the edges together make the letter "C". Place on cookie sheet.

Bake for 11-13 minutes.

Let cookies cool for a few mins on a cooling rack or plate.
