Description

I am not sure what "SIS" means in SIS Sugar cookies. Maybe a tribute to someone's sister as this was her favorite cookie or an acronym for "Seriously Incredibly Soft" sugar cookies. But seriously though, these are some super soft sugar cookies. Makes about 30 cookies.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In your main mixing bowl, add margarine, powdered sugar, white sugar, salad oil and mix on high speed for 5 minutes until it becomes light and fluffy.

  2. Add egg and vanilla extract and continue to mix.

  3. Sift in flour, salt, baking soda, cream of tartar and mix gently until combined.

  4. Wrap your dough and place in the fridge for 1 hour to chill.

  5. Preheat your oven to 350˚F (175˚C).

  6. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Scoop 2 tablespoons of cookie dough (about the size of a walnut) and roll in white sugar. Place the dough balls 2 inches apart on the prepared tray. Press a fork down on each cookie.

  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

  8. Let cookies cool before enjoying. :-)
