What We'll Need

Ingredients

Special Baking Equipment Needed

What We'll Do

  1. Let's Make The Crust

    For this step you'll need:

First, pre-heat your oven to 350F˚ (175˚C). Then, in your microwave safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds - 1 minute. Then, pour the melted butter into your main mixing bowl and add your Graham Cracker Crumbs, too.

  2. Mix The Crust

    For this step you'll need:

    • Fork

Using a fork, mix the crust together until it resembles wet sand, but more delicious. :-)

  3. Pat-A-Cake! Pat-A-Cake!

    For this step you'll need:

In a 13" x 9" glass dish, pat down the graham cracker crust to cover the entire bottom of the pan. It's easiest to do this with your hands. Just make sure to wash them first. lol

  4. Bake The Crust

    For this step you'll need:

    • Your Oven :-)

Bake your crust for 10 minutes in your preheated oven 350˚F (175˚C). You need to do this because if you don't, your graham cracker crust will have a soggy bottom and will come out as a "hot mess" like mine did on the first try. :-P After baked, let it cool for 5-10 minutes before continuing with the next step.

  5. Add The Coconut

    For this step you'll need:

Spread coconut flakes evenly on top of the crust.

  6. Add The Chocolate Chips

    For this step you'll need:

Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the coconut as evenly as possible.

  7. Add the Butterscotch Chips

    For this step you'll need:

    Now sprinkle the butterscotch chips.

  8. Let's Get Nutty! (optional)

    For this step you'll need:

Sprinkle your chopped nuts onto the dish. I used walnuts in my dish but use whatever nut you like the best. I also wanted to try a no-nut option so that is why the picture shows the cookie dish having the nuts only on the right side.

  9. Pour The Milk

    For this step you'll need:

And lastly, pour 6 oz of the condensed milk over the entire cookie. It comes in a 14 oz can so do your best to pour about half of it in. It will look very strange at this point, but trust me, it will taste great!

  10. Bake Your Cookie

    For this step you'll need:

    • Your Oven :-)

Bake for 30 minutes in your preheated oven 350˚F (175˚C).

  11. The Best Part!

    For this step you'll need:

Allow your 13x9 Baking Dish to cool on a cooling rack for about 5-10 minutes. (It's the hardest part, I know.) If you don't have a cooling rack, a heat safe counter top or a large plate will work fine. When cooled, cut into little 2" squares and enjoy your ooey gooey Seven Layer Cookies. :-)
