Description

This recipes make a lot so be sure to have plenty of guests to enjoy this deliciously cinnamony cake that goes perfect with any cup of coffee. Makes about 12 good size slices.

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375˚F (190˚C). 

  2. Sift flour, white sugar and baking powder together into your main mixing bowl.

  3. Grate cold butter into your main mixing bowl and rub together with hands until crumbly. 

  4. For the Coffee Cake Topping, add 180g from your main mixing bowl into a second bowl. Then, add 30g butter, 2 tsp of ground cinnamon and 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg into your second bowl and mix together.

  5. In your main mixing bowl, add salt, eggs and milk and mix until creamy and smooth.

  6. Pour your batter from your main mixing bowl into a 13x9 glass oven baking dish. 

  7. Sprinkle the cake topping from the second bowl onto the cake mix in the 13x9 glass oven baking dish.

  8. Bake for 30 minutes in oven at 375˚F (190˚C). Then, lower the temperature down to 350˚F (175˚C) and bake for an additional 15 minutes. 

  9. Cool completely before serving. Enjoy!
