What We'll Need
Ingredients
What We'll Do
-
Step 1
For this step you'll need:
Add your softened butter, brown sugar and white sugar into your main mixing bowl.
-
Step 2
For this step you'll need:
Mix these 3 ingredients together until smooth. Having a mixer is optional for this recipe as this cookie dough can be mixed by hand with a spatula.
-
Step 3
For this step you'll need:
Add your egg and vanilla extract and continue mixing.
-
Step 4
For this step you'll need:
In a separate bowl, add your flour, baking soda and salt and mix these 3 dry ingredients together.
-
Step 5
For this step you'll need:
- Premixed Dry Ingredients From Step 4
Add your dry ingredients into the mix 1/2 cup at a time and mix in between. If you add all the dry mix all at once, you will get blasted with flour to the face! :-)
-
Step 6
For this step you'll need:
- 1 3/4 cup (350g) M&M's Candy
- Your Spatula :-)
Add your M&M's and mix them in with a spatula. I wouldn't recommend using a mixer as M&M's hard candy shell could chip or scratch your mixer.
-
Step 7
For this step you'll need:- Your Spatula :-)
-
Step 8
For this step you'll need:
- 1 Sheet Of Parchment Paper
- 1 Sheet Of Tinfoil
- Your Fridge :-)
This dough is a little sticky, so place it on some parchment paper with tinfoil underneath it. The parchment paper will keep the dough from sticking to the tinfoil. Wrap your dough and place in the fridge for 1 hour. Take a mini breather. You've earned it!
-
Step 9
For this step you'll need:
- Cookie Sheet
- 1 Sheet Of Parchment Paper
- Your Hands :-)
Break time is over! Preheat your oven to 350˚F (175˚C). Take your dough out of the fridge. Lay a sheet of parchment on your baking tray. Grab about 2 big tablespoons of your M&M cookie dough (about a little bit bigger than a walnut are great sizes) and place them on the trays. These cookies spread so give them a little bit of elbow room. I found that 12 fit comfortably on my 17" baking tray.
-
Step 10
For this step you'll need:
- Your Oven :-)
Bake for 10-12 minutes in your preheated oven 350˚F (175˚C).
-
The Best Part!
For this step you'll need:
- Cooling Rack (optional)
- Your Appetite :-)
If you have a cooling rack, place your cookies on the cooling rack and let them cool for a few minutes. Tinfoil on the counter top or a plate will work as well. After they are done cooling, grab a glass of milk, and indulge like you're 5 years old again! :-) I hope you like it!
