Pecan Cream Cookies
Description
A cookie with a nutty, cinnamon flavor complemented by a caramel tasting buttercream frosting. :-) Makes about 40 cookies.

Step 1
For this step you'll need:
- 1 3/4 cup (260g) All Purpose Flour
- 3/4 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg
Preheat your oven to 375˚F (190˚C). In a medium bowl, add your flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix them together. Set aside for now.

Step 2
For this step you'll need: Next, let's prepare your pecans. Finely chop your pecans and then divide them in half. We are going to use 1/2 cup (50g) for the cookie dough and the other half for the nutty sprinkle toppings at the end. :-) -

For this step you'll need:
In your main mixing bowl, add your butter and sugar and mix until smooth. Having a mixer is optional for this recipe as this cookie dough can be mixed by hand with a spatula.

For this step you'll need: Add your egg and vanilla extract and continue mixing. -
Step 5
For this step you'll need:
- Premixed Dry Ingredients From Step 1
Add 1/2 cup of your 6 premixed dry ingredients from step 1 (flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg) into the your main mixing bowl and mix together.

For this step you'll need:
- 1/3 cup (85g) Sour Cream
- Premixed Dry Ingredients From Step 1
Then, add a little of your sour cream in and mix together. Continue alternating between 1/2 cup of your 6 premixed dry ingredients from step 1 and your sour cream until everything has been mixed in.

For this step you'll need:- Chopped Pecans From Step 2

For this step you'll need:- Cookie Sheet
- 1 Sheet Of Parchment Paper
- Your Hands

For this step you'll need:
- Your Oven :-)
- Cooling Rack (optional)
Bake for 10 minutes in your preheated oven 375˚F (190˚C). When done baking, if you have a cooling rack, place your cookies on it for them to cool. Tinfoil on the counter top or a plate will work as well. While they cooling, we are going to make the brown buttercream frosting! :-)

For this step you'll need: In a small saucepan, add your butter and turn the heat up to medium high on your stove top. -
Step 11
For this step you'll need:
Stir your butter continually with a wooden spatula for about 5 mins on medium high heat. Your butter will start to froth and turn from yellow to brown. Turn off heat when it turns brown and let's prepare your mixing bowl.

For this step you'll need:
- Brown Butter Sauce From Step 11
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups (240g) Powdered Sugar
- 2 Tbls Milk (Or Your Favorite Milk Substitute)
- Mixer (optional)
- Hand Whisk
Clean and dry your main mixing bowl. Add your powdered sugar, vanilla extract and milk into the bowl. Next, pour your brown butter sauce in and mix everything together. Having a mixer is optional for this recipe as butter cream can be mixed by hand with a whisk.
