Special Baking Equipment Needed

What We'll Do

  1. Step 1

    For this step you'll need:

First, preheat your oven to 350˚F (175˚C). Then, cream together your butter, brown sugar and egg until smooth. Having a mixer is optional for this recipe as this cookie dough can be mixed by hand with a spatula.

  2. Step 2

    For this step you'll need:

Add 1/2 cup of flour into your main mixing bowl, mix and then add the other 1/2 cup in and mix. If you add the whole 1 cup of flour all at once, you will get blasted with flour to the face! :-)

  3. Step 3

    For this step you'll need:

For this recipe, you will need a 17" Cookie Sheet. Any larger and your cookies may burn. Any smaller and they will not cook all the way through. Add about 1 Tbls Oil to a paper towel and wipe down your cookie sheet. You don't need a lot of oil, only enough to coat the cookie sheet lightly.

  4. Step 4

    For this step you'll need:

    • Your Spatula :-)

Add all your cookie dough onto the cookie sheet and spread it out as evenly as you can with your spatula.

  5. Step 5

    For this step you'll need:

    • Your Oven :-)

Bake for 15-18 minutes in your preheated oven of 350˚F (175˚C).

  6. Step 6

    For this step you'll need:

While your cookie is baking, let's prepare your nuts. For this recipe, I used walnuts because they are my favorite but you can use whatever nut you like the best. Finely chop your walnuts or your favorite nuts and set aside.

  7. Step 7

    For this step you'll need:

Measure out the chocolate for the topping.

  8. Step 8

    For this step you'll need:

    • Chocolate From Step 7
    • Your Spreading Skills :-)

Remove your cookie sheet from the oven and place it on a heat resistant surface. Then, lay your chocolate bars on top of the hot cookie. They will instantly start to melt. Lightly spread the melted chocolate over the entire cookie with your spatula. Don’t push too hard when you spread the chocolate or you will break through the cookie crust.

  9. Step 9

    For this step you'll need:

    • Your Chopped Nuts From Step 6

Sprinkle your chopped nuts onto the melted chocolate. After doing this, wait about 5-10 mins for your entire cookie to cool down a little.

  10. Step 10

    For this step you'll need:

    • Your Fridge

When your cookies have cooled down, put your entire cookie sheet into the fridge for about 1 hour so the chocolate will solidify and then you can then cut your cookie with a knife or break it apart with your hands.

  11. The Best Part!

    For this step you'll need:

    • Your Appetite! :-)

These cookies taste just like a Heath Bar, but with a crunchy cookie texture. Absolutely delicious! 5 stars! Would recommend this cookie to anyone. Hope you like it! :-)
