Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies
Description
The classic Hershey’s kiss peanut butter cookies. Makes about 36 cookies.

Preheat oven to 375˚F (190˚C).

In your main mixing bowl, mix together shortening and peanut butter.

Add white sugar and brown sugar and mix.

Add an egg and vanilla extract and mix.

In a second bowl, sift flour, baking soda and salt.

Add the second bowl to your main mixing bowl and mix.

In a small third bowl, add a little bit of white sugar. Shape dough into walnut sized balls and roll balls in white sugar. Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray. Place each ball on baking tray about 1-2” apart.

Bake for 11 - 13 minutes. While your cookies are baking, unwrap one Hershey Kiss per cookie.

When your cookies come out of the oven, top each cookie with one Hershey Kiss, pressing down firmly so cookie cracks.
